We visited La Terra last night and we had a fabulous time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but the food! It was amazing! There were four of us, we had the mixed starter, 2 had the filet steak, one had the venison and one had the gnocchi. Each dish was expertly executed and obviously quality ingredients. To finish we had tiramisu, gelato, afragato and zabalione, again they were delicious. Thank you so much for an amazing experience! Can’t recommend this delightful restaurant enough
We had the bread, pasta, lamb, ice cream and the parfait with a bottle of wine... everything was divine and my photos don’t do it justice. There were 3 types of bread and they provided both the oil and the basil butter because I’m vegan and my partner is not. He said the basil butter was fluffy and flavorful. The focaccia was airy with the lightly crisped top. My pasta was mouthwatering, I have no idea what was in the green sauce but I need it bottled and the pasta itself was expertly cooked with just the right amount of bite. The lamb looked divine (even though I don’t eat meat) the potatoes had goats cheese sprinkled throughout. Every bit of our plates was cleaned at the end but when they offered us dessert, we knew it was going to be good so we continued. The affogato was creamy and light. The parfait thing had all the right textures with little bits of crunch sprinkled throughout. It tasted like summer. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and everything you want when eating something so delicious. Nothing about it was pretentious like you might find at restaurants with this high of a rating. I’m really glad I got to experience eating here. The starters and the dessert photos were taken after we had already started eating.
On my own (work trip to Bath) and wondered in - stumbled on one of the best meals of my life. Scallops, venison and tiramisu. All three astoundingly brilliant.
Phenomenal service from Anya! I visited on Valentine's Day and had an odd request that they were more than happy to assist with. I went in early with an assortment of gifts and asked if they could bring them to the table in any random order throughout the night. I just said read the vibe, they did not disappoint. After starters Taylor Swift was playing (girlfriends favourite song). I told her I got them to play it (absolute fluke), as Anya approached with the flowers and popped them on the table, she was shocked! More gifts came throughout the night in impeccable timing. It ended with a delivered written card, at this point she was in tears. I suck at romantic stuff, but the service here made me the most suave man in England (potentially the world) for an evening. Food and drink are about what you expect in central Bath, but worth every penny!
Brilliant restaurant and amazing staff! Been here two times ordering very different meals and it was consistently good. Did not try their wine, but cocktails and lemonades are perfect. Lovely desserts as well.
Great atmosphere (even on what felt like a quiet Wednesday in town), super friendly and attentive staff, and fantastic food! The basil butter is so so good, we had the burrata and lamb croquette to start, followed by the mushroom/guanciale gnocchi and Gorgonzola wild boar ragu. Everything was spot on and sadly we didn’t have space for dessert! Everything on the menu sounded delicious so we will be back!
Food was delicious and fresh. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the restaurant organized Prosecco on arrival and a special dessert. Thank you for a great night!
My partner and I made a last minute reservation on a whim here and were extremely glad we did! We ordered from the vegan menu. We had the risotto and cauliflower soup to start and the paccheri and Ortolana for the mains. I like to eat out a lot and the paccheri is the best vegan Italian dish I’ve had (and up there and one of the best vegan dishes overall). The pasta was cooked perfectly and (I think) laminated with herbs. We really appreciate the effort they make to ensure the vegan options are not after thoughts. It’s a shame we were too full to try the vegan desserts (we shouldn’t have ordered the extra bread...) Service was very friendly and the right level of attentiveness. There’s a reason why this place has such a high Google review average.
